Dr Kit Spears is an experienced, multi-award-winning implant dentist and mentor who provides structured, case-based mentoring for clinicians looking to develop confidence, predictability, and safe progression in implant dentistry.
He limits his clinical practice exclusively to dental implants and oral surgery and has over a decade of experience managing straightforward through to complex implant cases within busy private practices. His mentoring is grounded in real clinical workflows, realistic case selection, and evidence-based decision-making, not theory alone.
Dr Spears graduated from the University of Bristol in 2011 and completed a Master’s degree in Dental Implantology in 2017, achieving merit overall and a distinction in his dissertation. He has undertaken extensive postgraduate surgical training in the UK and internationally and continues to practice at multiple implant referral centres. His work has been recognised with several national awards, including Best Young Implant Dentist and Dentistry Clinical Case Awards for implant and restorative treatment.
Dr Kit Spears provides structured, case-based implant mentoring for dentists, supporting safe clinical development through clinician-led guidance on real cases, including treatment planning, clinical execution and post-operative review. This approach promotes safe and appropriate clinical development, sound case selection and risk assessment, evidence-based decision making, honest reflection and learning from outcomes, while maintaining patient safety and professional accountability.
Maintaining a clear and accurate logbook is an important part of safe clinical development in implant dentistry. A logbook helps demonstrate how experience has been gained, how cases were selected appropriately, and how learning has been supported through reflection and mentoring.
